This app has greatly improved over the years and now the works great. I wish the paper included the supplements in the print version, i.e.: black Friday sale advertisements.

Very easy to use and works easily. It is a bit awkward to navigate but you do have access to the entire print edition. Zoom in and out easily. I still prefer the breaking news but this is a nice addition!!

The Star-Advertiser has provided us the full content, ads, news, etc. in a huge download 54 MB for todays Sunday issue. It looks just like the copy thats sitting on my lap. Aloha & Mahalo! -Jon von Kessel

This app is just awful. It looks like a poorly scanned PDF file and functionality is almost non existent. Come on Star Advertiser get serious. This is just proof of a business that has created a monopoly and is squeezing everyone with that leverage both in having a joke of an application as well as having the nerve to charge such an outrageous price. You should be ashamed to call yourselves local.

Please keep trying though. (1) Wouldnt authorize even with capable and easy to obtain human assistance (2) Then App wouldnt register when I tried to delete and reload it. I agree with the guy that says stick with the news bulletin app for now.

I paid my $50, it worked for three days then stopped working. FIX YOUR APP! Dont buy this until Star-Ad fixes this app. It wont allow me to download the newspaper.

You have to download the issue you want to read and cannot just read the news right away! Going to delete this!

Very poor app, and I have hundreds of apps. Must download each issue manually. Full page difficult to read and navigate on iPhone. iPad version worse, does not work, period, even tho I am a hard copy subscriber. App should be designed for these devices. See WSJ for an example of well designed app designed for the device.

First they start charging for the online version then deploy this worthless app. Takes five minutes just to login to their site. Id give no stars if possible.

I forgot my username or password and am unable to authorize my account. It worked initially but then had problems. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it but no luck, still not working. I see no link within the app to recover a password. I called the papers telephone number and was promised a call-back to help. Well, that didnt happen. Its a pretty app for the one time it worked.

I love the idea of viewing the full page, but the app doesnt work! It wont let me sync my paid account, even though I have the right info. Am going to give one more try to see if it works, but then Im done.

This app doesnt work. It refuses to log me in even tho Im a subscriber and it works on their website. Right now this app is just taking up space on my iPad. Please fix this!!

This app is useless. It takes much too long to load an issue and then you have to wait some more to be able to enlarge an article enough to read it. Theres obviously a reason why every other newspaper has a functional mobile app that works by links to stories.

Do not purchase as they still need to fix it! It doesnt properly work as everyday it has required me to renew my subscription! I called ther service dept everyday for the last week and it still hasnt been resolved. It is 1 pm today and I still havent been able to download todays paper. They told me maybe tonight or tomorrow...that will make the news outdated. It is very frustrating and time consuming!

This is a rickety app that wonʻt let me log in, and now wont budge from a setting change I tried to make. Deleting. Another reason to not renew my subscription.

Never worked. Calls to support never helped solve the problem. Clearly others have same problem but no upgrades forthcoming.

I would give this app zero stars if able. I have a print subscription But the p.o.s. app keeps asking me to upgrade and pay even though I already do. Why anyone would pay extra for a mediocre newspaper is beyond me. Fix this bug, its been a noted issue for several months!!!

Whos great idea was it to try and stuff the full print edition onto an iPhone screen? And each days newspaper requires a 15 MB download? What a joke of an app!

Technology needs to get into the newspaper world lol. Well, found out sometimes deleting the app then redownloading it helps, but wants to do that all the time? Also, if there are any subscriptions needed, Star-Advertiser needs to state that in their description of the app. And if a subscription is needed, they should update their system where it would allow you to create a subscription in the app. Previously I could download the daily paper for free, but Im not too sure of that was only a trial, and for how long???? CLARITY PLEASE

Apple should remove this abomination from the App Store. It is pawned on us by a newspaper that resulted when the Worst paper took over the Best paper. It should be removed from the App Store until they update it for the iPhone.
